A Message to Our Families
Dear Students, Families, Faculty, and Staff,
As the halls of Lakeview come alive once again with the energy, curiosity, and excitement of our students, there is a wonderful sense of possibility in the air. A new school year is more than the beginning of classes and routines; it is the beginning of a new chapter—one filled with opportunities to learn, to grow, to discover, to connect, and to write new stories together.
This year, I invite us to embrace further the idea of shared connection as we journey together. Every student will embark on a unique learning adventure, discovering new ideas, developing new skills, asking important questions, and finding new ways to understand themselves and the world around them. Along the way, Lakeview students will be supported by our dedicated teachers who inspire, mentors who encourage, friends who celebrate them, and families who walk beside them.
I am deeply grateful for our exceptional faculty and staff for the care, dedication, and intention they have brought to the start of this year. Behind the scenes, countless hours have been spent preparing classrooms, refining learning experiences, organizing resources, and adding those final touches that transform our learning environments into places where students can feel welcomed, known, challenged, and empowered to succeed. Their commitment to meeting the goals and needs of each individual learner is at the heart of what makes our community so special.
There is something powerful about a new beginning. Each day gives our students another opportunity to add a page to their story. The stories our students write this year will not simply be found in assignments, projects, performances, competitions, or accomplishments alone. They will be found in the moments when a student discovers a new passion, perseveres through a challenge, finds the courage to ask a difficult question, helps a friend, leads with purpose, or sees the world from a perspective different from their own. These moments become the experiences that shape character, confidence, and possibility. And, ultimately, the stories our students write today will help shape the futures they will lead tomorrow.
Our school is a vibrant learning community where students, staff, and families are empowered through connection to grow, lead, and thrive together. We strive to be a beacon of learner-led academic achievement—one that nurtures curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning while cultivating future innovators and empathetic leaders who contribute meaningfully to society today and help shape a prosperous tomorrow.
As we begin this journey, may we remember that education is not something we do alone. It is something we build together. Let us celebrate the questions our students ask, the risks they take, the ideas they explore, the relationships they form, and the progress they make. Let us encourage one another, extend grace when hurdles arise, celebrate growth along the way, and remain connected to the belief that every student has a story worth telling and a future worth imagining.
I am filled with optimism for the year ahead and grateful to begin this new journey alongside each of you.
May this be a year of meaningful learning, courageous growth, joyful discovery, and lasting connection and may the stories we write together be ones that our students carry proudly into the bright futures they will help create.
With gratitude and sincerity,
Renée Ryerson

Giovana's Bio
My kids have been at Lakeview since 2021. The child-led approach and autonomy that Montessori education provides to our children were key elements for me when choosing the school.
I believe that education is built by everyone around us – our family, our school, and our community. We learn about our culture and values from every single one of those places.
Being part of PIC is being part of my community, school, and kids’ lives. It is my way of practicing my values and beliefs.
While we create connections between the school and families, we help the school raise funds to achieve its goals and become a better place every year for our students, staff and families.
